Re: Fuel Surcharge Percentages
Dear Valued Customer,
As I'm sure you are all aware, fuel prices are higher than most people thought they would be. Additionally, they are higher in California than any of our neighboring States. Because of our "Clean Air" fuel requirements, and the costs associated with them, we even have our own California Column in the DOE Fuel Cost Report. Taking all of this into consideration, we have adopted a revised Fuel Surcharge Percentage for our Company. Below is the current update to the chart. Hopefully, additional updates will not be needed.

| 1.86 - 1.90 | 5.10 |
| 1.91 - 1.95 | 5.40 |
| 1.96 - 2.00 | 5.70 |
| 2.01 - 2.05 | 6.00 |
Also, as prices continue to rise, we are forced to assess a Truckload Fuel Surcharge effective November 6, 2000. The Truckload Fuel Surcharge is 8% of your freight charges. Any accessorial charges such as handling and appointment charges will not be effected.
